IT BEGINS WITH GOD

In God's grand purpose of redemption we are given His Word and the primary work of prayer so that we can stay aligned with His will and rest in His presence.  Our greatest need is to keep hearing the voice of the Spirit through the Word of God.  By "pressing in" to seek and know His will we allow the Holy Spirit to shape us and move us to accomplish what we cannot see or do on our own.

THE REALITY

ONLY 19% OF AMERICANS...

...have a meaningful devotional life (engage in Scripture at least four times per week)

THE AVERAGE PASTOR SPENDS...

...less than thirteen minutes a day in a devotional life.

LEADERS WILL USUALLY SPEND...

...approximately 2% of their week in prayer.

ONLY 26% OF ALL PASTORS...

...have a regular routine of personal time with God.

WHY IT MATTERS

We must remember that we, as God's children, are commissioned on HIS mission.  God has already been at work and will continue to seek and save the lost until He returns.  How can we know God's will if we are not seeking Him?  How can we hear the voice of the Spirit if we are not pursuing holiness?  How can we stand strong in the Lord and be an effective instrument of God if we are not abiding in Him?  We must remember that discipleship is a life-long journey with only one finish line.
